Yeah that is exactly right... she threatened me personally, so I told her to bugger off. Show me someone who wouldn't do the same to anyone else that threatens them. Yes, I "suddendly" noticed her emails when she threatened legal action or whatever... there were days we were getting 20+ emails per day from the Mods, and I only had physical time to read a few of the more critical ones. Doesn't mean I don't care, just didn't have the time to keep up with all the discussion... and is really hard to tell the difference between drama and a real case that needs to be brought to the authorities. The irony of all this BS drama was that we had already reported this case to the Police, they were looking into it, but she got mad at ME because they hadn't come up with a solution.
So is it ever a wonder to see why moderator after moderator left DV? It's gotten to the point where there's no point really. Why complain, why delete, why do anything when the owners basically don't give a damn?
We do care. We just don't like being threatened, thats all.
Banning is not enough in some cases because these idiots keep changing their IP address and keep coming back, bringing the same s....t after s....t. If you were the owner, wouldn't do you more than just banning?
We're doing more. Technology changes take time and money... In less than 2-3 months you'll see some big solutions coming into play here.
However, I do think there's some hope left with DV. I feel that it can come out of this muck and go back to the days where people go there for adult and mature talk.

So I gather Mike does read DS forum afterall. His response to me and the "coward" way for not coming in here and addressing me.
Frustration came after a refusal to ANSWER my emails with regards to something as serious as a pedophile. I have even included in the TITLE OR SUBJECT HEADING: URGENT to be read, or PLEASE READ ME IMMEDIATELY or TAKE NOTE or something like that. I forget which but I do know that I only threatened after no actions (basically no response to my emails) were taken.
The fact that the owner of DV actually HAS NOT HAD THE TIME TO READ a mod's email is laughable. When something as serious as this comes out and you don't have the time to read, it shows you what you really think of the mods who patrol your site.
No time to keep up with discussion? WHAT? Are you fracken kidding me? You could have said, "No worries, I'll look into it." or "Yep, I've noted down the IP address and I'll see what I can do" or "I'm busy but don't worry, this matter is serious and we'll handle it from here." How about something as simple as that? Instead, you did the best way you know how....

I ask you, what kind of person, ignores a moderator's pleas to look into this matter of a person who is so obssessed with child pornography that you would ignore messages after messages that you do something about it? Apparently someone who couldn't give a damn about it.
Right after I quit, there were more than one moderators who followed.
Only when, and only when, and I cite, "I will take this matter to the proper authorities citing that NO ACTION was taken by DiscoverVancouver" that you started to pay attention.
So forgive me if I seemed blunt but you took it upon yourself to ignore my pleas. What should I have done? Should I have kept pleading? I did the only thing possible, I threatened. It got your attention but at a cost. The damage's done and I will not be silenced into saying that you were right and I was wrong.
If you have anything to say to me, say it here instead of hiding behind DV. Come up to me and tell me that I'm wrong to threatened you for ignoring my calls to do something about a pedophile lurking in your forum.
