If you are really cheap with your money (like me), you can download movies off the internet, and if you choose the right file, the quality will be very close to what they would be on DVD. If you like it enough, you can even burn it to CD / DVD. Saves $15 or so.

True enough, Marik but that's not legal, is it?  I don't wanna get caught....... so I'll pay The Man in the meantime.

Ah, that's right Lise. I was thinking of music downloads still being legal in Canada. So if you're going to buy a CD, and you don't really care about the cover or whatever other misc. stuff you might get inside, downloading + burning is the way to go!

I'm all for download and burning s'long as it's legit. I just don't wanna get into trouble. *chicken dance*

I highly doubt that anyone will be coming after you if you download a CD. Last time I checked it was legal to download music in Canada.

It is according to the supreme courts still, although the recording studios are trying to get it changed. Not as easy in a country thats not run by big business. Thats why limewire, kazaa and all the other big sites are based in Canada.
