Free roller coaster rides Tuesday 6am-10am

VANCOUVER (NEWS1130) - One of Playland's most historic and spectacular attractions turns 50 this year.

The famous wooden roller coaster, which reaches speeds of 45 mph, was built board by board back in 1958.

Playland invites you to join in birthday celebrations on Tuesday, June 17th.

You can get a free ride from 6am to 10am; right after Mayor Sam Sullivan will be making a special presentation designating the wooden roller coaster as a site of special significance to the city.
