Firefox 2.0 has had over [a href="http://weblogs.mozillazine.org/asa/archives/2006/10/firefox_2_milli.html"]two million downloads in 24 hours[/a] with a peak rate of over 30 downloads a second. This means Firefox is well on track to beat [a href="http://blogs.msdn.com/ie/archive/2006/10/24/ie7-hits-the-street.aspx"]IE7's three million in four days[/a]. Of course [a href="http://browserden.co.uk/blog/2006/10/28/firefox-2-30-downloads-per-second/"]stats don't equal users[/a] but it's interesting to see that the demand for Firefox is currently outstripping IE.
[hr style="width: 100%; height: 2px;"]I've said it before and I'll say it again: [a href="http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/"]get yourself a copy[/a].

It's free. Won't cost ya a cent.
It's safer and more secure than Internet Explorer. Much safer.
It's more fun to browse with Firefox. (Really!)
[span style="text-decoration: line-through;"]Chicks dig it.[/span]
It's customizable (some very [a href="https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions.php?app=firefox"]cool add-ons[/a], and yes, they're free too).
It's faster than Internet Explorer.
It doesn't support Microsoft's raping of the web.
[span style="text-decoration: line-through;"]It's way sexy.[/span]
It won't steal your bank PIN, personal data, or financial info.

I wouldn't recommend it if it wasn't a Good Thing®.
The real trouble with reality is that there's no background music.

I'm very and happy and satisfied with Firefox and Thunderbird.  All those pernicious self-downloading viruses, hacking attacks, spam emails, and pesty spyware programs have pretty much disappeared, since I switched to Firefox and Thunderbird from IE and Outlook Express
