Lunch for me.....chicken strips and superfries.  Strawberry trifle for dessert.
Thousands of years ago cats were worshipped.  They have not forgotten.

What is a superfry?
For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

Gopher

Isn't it a very young fish of abnormally large dimensions?

Good day, Gopher and tenkani   (hmmmmm if I type [A href="gopher://gopher....tenkani"]Gopher....tenkani[/A]  (like so) it gets the 'link action'.  What's with that?

So.....what's on the menu today.  Everybody's lunch always sounds more interesting than my own.

Hello P.C. Not very often that we're here at the same time. What's for lunch? Not very imaginative today, just bacon sandwiches and a banana.

I tried the gopher with the tekani dots, and got the link too, have no idea what it's all about. Maybe someone will inform us?

Anybody have any suggestions as to why my DS is running (or should I say walking) so dreadfully slow.  It's taking minutes between pages and replies instead of seconds.  I have added nothing recently that should cause it to run differently than it did last week.

I'll still be posting 'what's for lunch' at midnight at this rate.  I'm having zero problems anywhere else.

Mmmmm, bacon sandwich......sounds good.  I don't think I've ever thought of a simple bacon sandwich.  I'm having cream cheese and smoked salmon and capers.  (I wish I had a croissant and some sprouts to go with....my ultimate favourite sandwich)

Walking? Mine's creeping and giving every indication of needing a zimmer frame to help it along.

P.C.

Oh oh.....I don't know what a zimmer frame is.......should I ????

My computer has been dreadfully slow on DS too.  Wonder what's wrong.

A zimmer frame is what we call in the states a "walker".

Maybe this will help to explain it...

If you're in trouble he will save the day
He's brave and he's fearless, come what may
Without him the mission would go astray
He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
Without him life would be much grimmer
He's handsome trim, and no-one slimmer
He will never need a zimmer.

He's Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
More reliable than a garden strimmer
He's never been mistaken for Yul Brynner
He's not bald and his head doesn't glimmer.

Master of the wit and the repartee
His command of Space Directives is uncanny
How come he's such a genius? Don't ask me.
Ask Arnold, Arnold, Arnold Rimmer
He's also a fantastic swimmer
And if you play your cards right then-he-just-might
Come round for dinner.

He's Arnold Arnold Arnold Rimmer,
No rhymes left now apart from Qwimmer.
I hope they fade out before we get to shimmer
Fade out you stupid Rimmer

For thou art with me; thy cream and thy sugar they comfort me
Thou preparest a carafe before me in the presence of Juan Valdez
Thou anointest my day with pep; my mug runneth over
Surely richness and taste shall follow me all the days of my life
And I will dwell in the house of coffee forever.

Well who knew !  Perhaps I'll download one to see if it helps....lol.  My attention span is lacking, and the wait between pages has allowed me to get ample housework done, even though I'm moving quite slowly.

I could probably go rake the yard by the time this posts.....and maybe get my deck taken apart.

I find that if you have a book handy it helps to pass the time while you wait for something to happen.
