DV reply disabled - not down

but i do have work to do , so i shall knuckle down and get to it .

Hey how come my toolbar isn't showin up in its full glory?



Looks as if I'm trying to hack the board or something.  [A onclick="addImg('icon/icon_smile_shy.gif')" href="jvascript:void(0)"][/A]



Anyhow earlier in the day when I surfed DV very briefly and got the HTTP 500 message, I thought my IP was banned... so I said fine, once I'm done with the day I'll give the admins a piece of my mind, then I realized everyone else had the same prob.



So what's the idea behind disabling all replies?



An admin would do such a thing only if



- the board is under such intense attack (ie. DoS) that it'd be in everyone's best interest to disable any input for a while,



- there's a major software/hardware upgrade in progress



- there're no mods left to keep an eye on the place



- the admin got too drunk and accidentally disabled new messages



What other possibilities can you think of?





PS. I think the last option is the most likely explanation.

My email server was down for a while, and so was my bank's.  Probably some localised virus attack--evidently confined to the GVRD.

I also notice that an "iohanipapti" posted a thread entitled "he is coming" which prophesied something ominous to come. Apparently he did, but I thought that was in reference to Bebu, whom we were all supposed to be praying for the return of.
