Ed Bott has a screen shot up over at his site at Media Central where HBO is [a href="http://www.edbott.com/mediacenter/archives/ouch-bitten-by-drm/"]restricting his ability[/a]to view a show that he recorded on that PC. Under the best casescenario this is yet another example of Microsoft or HBO's DRM usagegetting in the way of fair use.

Under the worst case scenario HBO iscontinuing to push their agenda of 'Copy Never' (that Dave Zatz [a href="http://www.zatznotfunny.com/2006-02/hbo-petitions-fcc-to-prevent-dvr-recording/"]wrote about last week[/a])into the PVR world as well. HBO is increasingly becoming a hostileforce for consumers having to deal with their use of DRM. Is it time tocancel my HBO subscription just in time for the new episodes of theSopranos?   [a href="http://thomashawk.com/2006/02/hbos-harrasment-of-pvr-owners.html"]Link to full story[/a]
